To secure workers at height, on side facades and on flat roofs many different fall protection systems can be used. Among others there are quite expensive safety line systems, but they can by replaced by cheaper anchorage points. Check what they are, how we use them in practice, creating safest roofs.
Anchorage points and poles are integral part of every system. For proper functioning of entire system, type and number of devices used matters. We advise against limiting amount of points as completely safe roof space cannot be designed with smaller than required number of elements.
In our field we use many different anchorage points but all provide as wide as possible safe zone on roof or facade. It is not always possible but we urge investors to increase the budget allocated for designing and creating fall protection system.
After designing system based on anchorage points instead of safety line, they have to be properly installed. This is permanent fall protection so anchorage points are mounted only one to load-bearing structure therefore they are very stable and have no risk of tearing out. Installed directly to roof, celling or reinforced concrete and workers at height can hook up to them with personal protection.
In each case, no matter where points are mounted they serve to secure work place. They cannot be used to lift heavy loads. Their purpose is completely different – preventing further fall in case of accident. Without protection worker’s life would be gravely endangered. In fall protection systems anchorage points perform very important role. Securing work at height, on scaffolding, on flat roof, over work area and on side facade. In every such situation we can recommend implementation of fall protection system using anchorage points.
FLAT series fall protection systems are simple and above all effective and safe solutions protecting against fall from a height. Single points create permanently mounted system. User with personal protection hooks up to given point with carabiner from his harness. According to EN795 norm anchorage point must endure minimum 10kN directional force. We distinguish up to six different categories of anchoring devices that prevent from falling or limit its consequences.
