  • SAFETY RAILS

Safety rails systems are used as safety line system substitute. In this case mobile trolley moves along rigid guideway, in most cases aluminum or steel rail profiled to allow free movement. Main advantage of this solution is very low flexibility of the rail, therefore it can be used already at a height of 2 meters to secure work over wagons, trucks and cisterns. It’s well suited as a system mounted on walls and constructions of complicated architecture. We can distinguish two types of safety rails: fall protection rails and rail access systems allowing for constant load.

  • DIFFERENT KINDS OF SAFETY RAILS

There are many configurations possible both in montage and shape depending on whether rail systems are mounted over production line, gantries, work area or as a fall protection. Ranging in length options form 1 meter to even 6 meters. The longest rails are mostly used as stable guideways to roof girder and are durable enough in itself they don’t require additional supporting construction. Shorter ones are usually part of overhead special construction that prevents guideway form bending in case of a fall.

There are also many possibilities in technology applied during manufacturing. From safety rails made of anodized aluminum reinforced to resist weather conditions, galvanized steel rails to special systems used in high corrosivity environments i.e. C5 then whole system and its components are made of stainless steel. This solution is recommended as easier to use and safer in comparison to safety line systems. They are much better option as a suspended system, where deflection during a fall is few centimeters as opposed to even 2 meters in safety line systems.

  • HORIZONTAL SAFETY RAIL

Rail systems have many advantages and despite being more expensive than line systems they are chosen for plenty of reasons as permanent solution:

    • Precise and quite easy mounting resulting from structure and stiffness of rails, especially up to 3m in length
    • Solutions made for outside use, due to materials used this systems last years
    • Still cheaper than applying collective fall protection systems like guardrails and railings. It is the biggest compromise between price and quality
    • Trolleys provide not only freedom in movement but also thanks to friction lowering solutions, they don’t damage the rail
    • Safety Rails can by manufactured in different shapes fitting even most demanding investments
